Paul was born on August 1st 1903 in Nisiros, Greece (mainland).

His father is Paul Pavlides and his mother is Maria Pavlides.

He married Catherine Mastros on June 23rd 1934.  Paul and Catherine had one child, Christina.

Paul stopped school at the age of 16.  His education occurred prior to coming to the United States.

Paul was a waiter in New York and Washington DC. In Lancaster, he worked at the Metropol Restaurant (358 E. King St.), the Garden Spot Restaurant (Lincoln Hwy East) and the Brunswick Hotel (N. Queen St. and Chestnut St.).

Paul was very active in the Greek Orthodox Church in Lancaster, being a charter member of the church and serving as President of the Church Council. He enjoyed poetry and reading Greek newspapers. He was a member of the Ahepa.

The first son-in-law of the Mastros seven, Paul was often 'big brother' to the family. He had a very good sense of humor. It was well known that his marriage to Catherine was a 'love match' which was unusual for the times and their culture.
