Kathleen May Mastros was born on June 9th 1951 at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA.

Her father is James M. Mastros and her mother is Josephine A. Mastros.

Kathy graduated from McCaskey High School Class of '69.  Certified Nurses Assistant, 1970.  Graduated Empire Beauty School, 1971.  Commonwealth School of Banking, 1986.  Principles of Banking, 1987.  Hamilton/Corestates School of Banking, 1989.

While primarily a homemaker, Kathy has done some child care, some dog breeding, and some nurse's aide work. She was also a beautician for a while, and worked a short time as a cashier at K-Mart. Kathy worked six years in banking before becoming disabled in March, 1991.

Kathy has interests in doll making, crafts, and needle work. She was also involved in the scouting program. She and her husband Larry were community counselors for AYUSA (Acedemic Year In USA) and World Exchange, two different foreign exchange student programs.

Kathy always surrounded herself with children and animals. She and her family were involved with a program to train monkeys for handicapped people. They also hosted many students from around the world. Kathy very much enjoyed interior decorating - she had each home of her house decorated in a different period or culture. These rooms ranged from an early Victorian living room, an Oriental dining room complete with hand lettering Japanese writing on door frames, a country kitchen, a first floor family room decorated with an Amish motif, a large first floor recreation room decorated as a 1950's diner with a pin ball machine and Coca-Cola memorabilia, and a large finished basement decorated in a very modern motif. Kathy had a lot of real looking, fake food in her diner. Her great-nieces and nephews will remember her as the aunt with the fake food.

Kathy married Lawrence G. Metz on January 25th 1975. Larry and Kathy had 3 children Tara, Jevin and Laura and adopted another, Boris Rakita.
