Michael George Mastros was born on October 25th 1944 at Barksdale Field Army Hospital in Shreveport, LA.

His father is George M. Mastros and his mother is Lillie Mastros.

Mike graduated from McCaskey High School Class of '62.  He received further education at York College of PA and received an Associates degree in Biology, Class of '64.

Graduated from Harrisburg Community College in 1973 in Law Enforcement.  Completed numerous law enforcement courses while with police departments (including Northwestern University, PA State Police Academy, York College of PA, Harrisburg Area Community College, University of Wilmington, Penn State University, etc...)

Served in the PA National Guard from October, 1964 to 1970. Basic training was at Fort Knox, KY. Assigned first as a photographer, then as a squad leader. Discharged in 1970 at the rank of sergeant.

Michael's first job was selling papers on the corner of King and Queen Sts. in Lancaster. Later he was in retail sales (later co-owner) at Mastros & Son Grocery Store, Orange & Mary Sts in Lancaster. He became a police officer with the Millersville Borough Police Department, and served as Millersville's Chief of Police for 9 years. He also worked with the Conestoga TWP Police Dept. He later worked in sales and as Assistant Manager at Silo. After several heart attacks, he worked with computers - in bookkeeping, programming and consulting.

During teen years interested in science and photography, collected coins. Later, interests included photography, motorcycles, leathercraft and computers. Served as Vice President of the Lancaster County Chiefs of Police Assoc and was a member of the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Assn. He was also a member of the Lancaster County FOP.

While with the police department, he served as advisor for law enforcement courses at Harrisburg Area Community College. Served as secretary of the Lanc Co Police Radio Advisory Committee. He was also a long time volunteer at the West End Ambulance Assoc in Millersville, PA as a running member and computer programmer. He served as a Duty Officer for them for several years. Works with computers at every opportunity, and has a very sophisticated system of his own. Did computer programming for various businesses including Silo. He also owned several motorcycles; he enjoyed taking day-long motorcycle trips with his son George.

Michael married Linda K. Wandell on April 8th 1968. Michael and Linda had 3 children, Victoria, George, and Brian. He later married Gail D. Monteleone on February 1st 1982.
